About Me!

Hello!  My name is Adam Seif.  I am an avid photographer and I really enjoy telling stories with my photographs.  I snap a wide range of photos, from animals and nature to cityscapes.  Here’s more about me.

I have always been an artist.  I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Graphics Design.  After graduation, I began creating brochures and logos for businesses with my twin brother Jeremy.  Doing this was great, but I yearned for something more.  That’s when I found photography!

I got into photography when I discovered my love for nature… bald eagles to be exact.  I found myself walking near rivers, falling into rivers.  Walking on ice, falling on that ice.  Trying to beat a thunderstorm and then getting caught in that thunderstorm, having to take shelter under a tree filled with poison ivy.  I found myself stopping my car to chase a soaring eagle and then missing the photo all together.  From there, my enjoyment for nature expanded.  At one point I remember photographing of a raccoon family, when I was suddenly chased by four angry young raccoons growling at me.  I never ran so fast!  Then that time when a cardinal went to the bathroom on me, I’ll never forget.  It was almost as if he meant to do it.

Next, I found the artistic and creative side of photography.  My imagination expanded.  I started taking photos of cars and city scenes and families and pets and even food!  I love finding new and exciting angles for my photographs.  Then, the stories began, like the time I was chasing a coyote, just trying to get a clear photo.  Those suckers are fast!  Or that time I spent eating breakfast in the grass with a beautiful fawn.  Each of my photos has a story to tell and I know exactly where I was when I took it.  I can tell you how warm or cold it was, like that time I was photographing ice cream and I didn’t even make it through the photo session without taking a bite of the caramel drizzled vanilla yumminess.  It was cold!

I hope my photos draw you into the scenes, like you are there, because not only do my photos tell stories, there are also stores about how I got the photos in the first place, like when that little frog was overlooking his rocky kingdom by the water, then suddenly, I dropped my new expensive camera in that water!
